The Rigs Fitness Youth Athlete Academy is a General Physical Preparation programme for ALL youth athletes aged between 8 and 18 years old who are looking to maximise their athletic potential.
Our experienced performance team, and the award-winning facilities at Rigs Fitness, provide the ideal location for your child to develop fundamental athletic movement qualities in a group-setting which will be safe, fun and under the watchful eye of qualified personnel. It will also provide your child with a perfect opportunity to make new friends.
Throughout your child’s time on the Youth Athlete Academy, the performance team at Rigs Fitness will always use individualisation within a group setting to ensure that your child is performing movement skills that are suitable for him or her.
Using the principle of periodisation, your child’s training in the Youth Athlete Academy will progress in 4 week blocks, ensuring that they develop competency in a wide array of athletic movement qualities, whilst at the same time ensuring a gradual progression of complexity, thus ensuring athlete engagement and reduced chance of boredom, from block-to-block.
