On Wednesday 6th March, The Mayor of Solihull, Kenneth Hawkins, made an official visit to Rigs Fitness, Functional Fitness and Boxing Club, situated between Solihull, Moseley, Kings Heath and Birmingham. The Mayor is very impressed with what Sam has done with Rigs Fitness in such a short amount of time as a new business start up, saying;
It’s great to see a new business doing so well in the area. I really like how the gym is back to basics, with old school functional training, boxing and real fitness sessions!
When becoming the Mayor of Solihull, Kenneth made a pledge to helping people and really making a difference, and he realises that a big part of this involves keeping people healthy an active. He’s fighting to get people back into the gym and believes Rigs Fitness is the place to go!
We presented the Mayor of Solihull with a unique prize for the Mayors Charity Ball… A 1-1 personal training session with current ISKA World Champion Kick-boxer, Paul Gilmore. Paul also teaches a weekly Fighting Fit Class at Rigs, and for more information on Paul’s Class, and all the classes at Rigs Fitness please click here. We also presented the Mayor of Solihull with and honorary membership at Rigs Fitness, as we know he has a background in boxing and would love to use our facilities.
Since opening in August 2012 the gym has gone from strength to strength, now being the regular training facility for some of the areas best sports teams & athletes. We’re also getting some great feedback and testimonials from our members who have access to our unique functional fitness and boxing classes, all taught by some of the country’s top coaches.
The Mayor really expressed his gratitude to Rigs Fitness for offering such a unique prize for the Mayors Charity Ball and said,
I’m truly thankful for Sam and Paul’s generosity. It’s not often we get to offer such a great prize for such a great cause, but just like Rigs, this is something unique that we hope will be the cause for much interest at the ball
We’re grateful to the Mayor of Solihull for coming down to Rigs Fitness on an official visit and look forward to having him here in the future, and seeing who wins the Personal Training prize at the Mayors Ball in April.
