Exclusive to Rigs fitness, our functional fitness classes really make us stand out from the crowd. Using functional movements (how we move in real life), in this high intensity, constantly varied class allows you to train every muscle in your body and improve core strength, flexibility, coordination, aerobic endurance and stamina. Like all of our classes, it is all scaled to your ability.
Learn the techniques, discipline and conditioning of a boxer.
This class will teach you the techniques you need to become a top boxer, the discipline that will help you in everyday life, and gives you a supreme full body conditioning session, increasing aerobic fitness, muscle tone and striping away all of your body fat. If you want to look like a pro-boxer you’ve got to train like one, so come and train like one at Rigs Fitness. (Note: Sparring is an option, however, headguards and gum shields are needed. Only experienced boxers are allowed to spar and nobody has to if they don’t want to.)
A hard-hitting circuit class designed to make you as fit as an elite fighter.
Boxing and kickboxing techniques together with hardcore combat conditioning. Taught by 5x ISKA European Champion Kickboxer Paul Gilmore, this is a class designed by elite athletes to allow you to train like an elite athlete. Utilising our whole range of equipment and some groundbreaking training techniques you’ll get fit and build an athletic physique.
45 minutes of interval skipping and bodyweight conditioning. Guaranteed abs!
Burn in excess of 500 calories in this 45-minute class. Skipping is the best form of aerobic exercise and if you do Skip-Fit you’ll realize why. The sole aim of this class is to strip unwanted body fat and really build a lean, athletic physique. Alongside this you’ll also massively improve your aerobic fitness and feel your fitness improving every week. SkipFit is a must if you want to lose body fat!

Focusing on positioning and the finer techniques that are so important to reaching your lifting potential, this class is definitely one for anybody wishing to learn a new skill, or excel in their, strength training, weightlifting or Crossfit training in Solihull or Birmingham. Weightlifting works on improving reactive strength involved in almost all sports, whilst improving both flexibility and power output! Places are limited so make sure you book up early!
Improve fitness, flexibility and muscle tone in this hybrid class unique to Rigs.
Based around the Ashtanga Vinyasa style of yoga, the main aim of this class is to maximise athletic flexibility, particularly in the hips, shoulders & legs. But you’ll also build upper-body strength through body-weight exercises, and in turn develop stability and balance. A great complimentary class, Yoga For Athletes is perfect for anyone looking to supplement their regular training with a demanding, flexibility-focussed workout that uses the power of yoga to increase athletic performance.
For the morning after…
We set up a 15-station circuit, which runs non-stop for 2 hours. This class isn’t structured like most of our other classes, allowing you to turn up any time while the circuits are running and join in! With a big emphasis on aerobic training and sprint-style cardio work, this class is ideal for anybody who wants to sweat it all out, de-stress, and train hard to increase whole body fitness. Exclusive to Rigs Fitness Functional Circuits are fun, effective, and for everyone!
