We provide elite standard strength and conditioning support centred around you; the athlete. From bespoke programming, injury prevention strategies and competition preparation, to practical nutrition and sensible recovery, the ADP has all angles covered, helping you achieve your full physical potential. We work side by side with your coaches, physiotherapists and key support staff and through monitoring your progress with regular screening and assessments, what we offer is an all encompassing, professional performance package.
With world class facilities and a dedicated coaching team the Rigs ADP will give you the physical edge in the gym and on the field, allowing you to truly #TrainLikeAnAthlete
What you can expect as a Rigs ADP Athlete
From day 1, your training as a ADP athlete is all about you. You will complete an Athlete Development Profile giving us all we need to know to get you up and running with your first 16 week ADP cycle. Each cycle will include:
- Exclusive ADP Performance Membership at Rigs Fitness
- Bespoke programming and 1-2-1 support
- Additional scheduled sessions, outside of those coach led (as needed)
- Scientifically backed training practises
- Injury prevention strategies
- Nutrition and recovery strategies
- Training scheduling to fit your calendar
- Movement screening and pre/post test-retests
- Progress reports and regular feedback
- Weekly Yoga for Athletes sessions
- Ongoing coaching support throughout your programme
And who can apply for the ADP?
The ADP caters for any athlete or team looking to improve physical performance in their given sport or discipline. It doesn’t matter if you’re competing Nationally, Internationally, for School or University or recreationally, the ADP is designed to suit you, your goals, your budget and your commitment. Our specific ADP programme options are as follows:
The I-ADP caters for individual athletes of all standards and ages. You’ll receive a weekly 121 session with your own dedicated S&C coach, with further weekly sessions if desired. As well as all the above training support you’ll have our undivided coaching support making this the premium standard ADP programme on offer.
Located too far for regular weekly travel? Training on a Budget? The External -ADP gives you all the performance support available on the I-ADP, without the membership and weekly sessions. With 6 assessment, orientation and programme update sessions spread across your 16 week training block, the External-ADP gives you the flexibility the train like an athlete; whatever your location or budget.
Are you a coach, captain or team member striving for your team to be the fittest, fastest and strongest in the league?… Looking to push for that promotion or top the podium? With the Rigs Fitness Athlete Development T-ADP, we offer all the performance support you get with the I-ADP, tailored and adapted to the needs of your squad.
As an ADP team, you’ll have a dedicated coaching team available for pitch and gym sessions, to scheduling and game day preparations. The ADP coaching team can even make the external trip to your facility for scheduled sessions if required. The ADP is based at Rigs Fitness – Birmingham’s Award Winning Strength & Conditioning Gym, which following it’s recent refurb, has all the equipment and space required to develop a world class athlete. With 4 spacious competition lifting stations, an indoor sprint track and watt bikes – to a 100sqm warm up, SAQ and rolling area, Rigs has all your training needs covered.
